35th Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF)

VIFF is back for it’s 35th year! As an avid believer in the use of film for education and expanding one’s awareness, I will again this year attempt to see as many films as possible and share their value as I experience them. I truly hope this will inspire you to take in some of them yourself and enjoy the same “high” I personally experience when immersed in this art form.

What others have to say…

“…allows cinema fans the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the diversity of cultures that make up the world around us.” Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau

“…events like this are so important in promoting cultural exchange.” Premier of British Columbia, Christy Clark

“Film exposes us to new realities, emotion, social and cultural experiences, like nothing else is able to do.” Mayor of Vancouver, Gregor Robertson

“Good film has the power to connect people across cultures, backgrounds and geographic distances. It can inspire, entertain, expand perspectives and spur conversation.” Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development, The Honourable Peter Fassbender

Please follow my blogposts over the next two weeks as I report on the films as I see them. Thank you 🙂
