This film was a great surprise. It wasn’t surprising that it was a good movie, but that I personally would enjoy a film about Iggy Pop and The Stooges. This would be much more my husband’s genre of music (he picked it) but this documentary was well worth the watch.
Take a trip through rock and roll history and the impact that this band had by starting a revolution.
One of my favorite things that James Newell Osterberg Jr. (aka Iggy Pop) had to say was about the Home (trailer) that he grew up in. He said “I was so lucky to live in close quarters, in simple circumstances, with my parents.” It really is a great example of how simple, cramped quarters living can really promote love and acceptance of one another. A closeness that may not particularly exist in one of our large homes these days, with everyone off in their own wings of the house.
