Sins of the Flesh – VIFF

This film is set in Egypt, following the revolution that began in 2011. The symbolism and parallel between the political upheaval happening in the country, and the intimate struggle for freedom that is happening on the farm setting, is very well done.

Khaled El Hagar is noted as one of Egypt’s most controversial filmmakers and this film is no exception. It challenges the audience to witness transgressions and assess their perceived value. Do wrongs make things right? Watch the film and decide for yourself.
